Loser
Some folks feel they were born to lose
choosing to lose and sing the blues
grubbing for peanuts - the inner city
ordering handouts with a side of pity
choking life in prisons and jails
stumbling along a path that fails
poor and trashy life - the sinner
never a glimmer of being a winner
crawling the gutter of life today
too many tears along that way
used - abused - such awful cost
goodness of life forever lost
crushed old age - decaying youth
never revealing the pitiful truth
the key - never admitted by those who lose
a simple fact - they were free to choose.
